South Korea’s leading tech platforms have mobilized to support the people of Venezuela, who lost their homes and livelihoods following a powerful magnitude 7.5 earthquake. Naver’s Happybean and Kakao’s Together Kakao (Kakao Geatgachi) are actively contributing to recovery efforts by delivering their own corporate donations and encouraging user participation to gather warm-hearted support.

Adding Warmth to a $300,000 Donation

On July 10, Naver announced that it donated $300,000 in relief funds to aid swift recovery efforts in earthquake-hit Venezuela. Delivered through Naver’s online donation platform 'Happybean', the relief fund will be distributed equally—$100,000 each—to UNICEF, the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency), and the WFP (World Food Programme). The donation will be used to support recovery initiatives following the earthquake that struck Venezuela last June.
