Quang Ngai and KOICA signed MOU on health and education

In the morning of February 27, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Quang Thich and Mrs. Nam IL Woo – Deputy Head of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) representative office in Vietnam held MOU signing ceremony for the two follow-up Projects of Supporting nine Primary Schools and Management of Son Tinh General Hospital.

Accordingly, the first follow-up project of supporting 09 primary schools in Binh Son (03 schools), Son Tinh (04 schools), and Tu Nghia (02 schools) districts will be implemented by Bucheon University – Korea.

The second follow-up project of supporting the management of Son Tinh General Hospital will be carried by Eulji University – Korea.

On behalf of Quang Ngai province’s leader, Vice Chairman Le Quang Thich expressed his thanks for their support and help in health and education sector in the province in the past time, contributing to improving living conditions for people in the project areas.

Local government and people will create best conditions for KOICA in the projects’ implementation as well as use the support fund in right purposes, he affirmed.

Quang Ngai hopes to receive more assistance from Japan government through KOICA in the future, Thich added.

In 2005, KOICA supported Quang Ngai to construct Son Tinh Hospital with the capacity of 100 patient beds and necessary medical equipment and machines. This project was under the Project to construct hospitals in 05 Central provinces funded by Korea government through KOICA office in Viet Nam.

2월27일 오전, 꽝나이성 인민위원회의 부주석Le Quang Thich와 코이카 베트남 남일우 부소장의 진행으 하에 초등학교 사후관리 사업과 손틴병원 사후관리 사업 등 총2개의 MOU체결식이 맺어졌다.

첫번째 MOU체결은 빈손현( 3군데 학교), 손틴현(4군데 학교), 투이아현 (2군데 학교)의 총9 군데의 초등학교 사후관리 사업을 위한 것으로 한국 부천대학교가 수행할 예정이다. 이어서, 한국 을지대학교에 의해 진행되는 손틴병원 사후관리 사업의 MOU체결식이 진행되었다.

주석을 대신한 꽝나이성 인민위원회 부주석 Le Quang Thich는사후관리 사업이 진행되는 지역의 주민들의 생활 환경을 위한 그 동안의 보건 그리고 교육 분야 프로젝트 수행에 대해 감사의 말을 전했다. 그리고 현지기관과 주민들도 지원금의 올바른 사용과 원활한 코이카 사업수행을 위해 최선을 다할 것을 약속했다. 꽝나이성은 코이카를 통하여 일본 정부의 지원 또한 받을 수 있기를 희망한다고 전했다.

2005년, 코이카는 필수 의료기자재 포함한100개 병상을 수용한 손틴종합병원을 재건한 바 있다. 이 프로젝트는 대한민국 정부의 지원으로, 코이카 베트남 사무소의 총괄 아래 베트남 내 총 5 지역 성 병원 재건 사업 중의 하나이다.
