“Responding to Infectious Diseases, Together Across Borders 🌍”

On October 19, Medipeace hosted the International Seminar on Building and Strengthening National Diagnostic Systems for Infectious Diseases as part of the KOICA-supported Project to Strengthen Senegal’s National Public Health Laboratory System.

Experts from Korea, Senegal, Peru, Indonesia, and the WHO Regional Office for Africa came together to share experiences in infectious disease diagnostics and surveillance, and to explore how diagnostics, research, and surveillance can be better connected within national public health systems.

Drawing on experiences from different countries and settings, the seminar created a space for meaningful questions, open dialogue, and the exchange of expertise—turning shared knowledge into opportunities for deeper collaboration.

Effective infectious disease preparedness goes beyond the capacity of any single country or institution. It grows stronger when knowledge, experience, and expertise are shared across borders.

Medipeace will continue working to strengthen sustainable local health systems and foster global health partnerships that connect people, knowledge, and countries toward a healthier future.
